Rules and regulations governing misuse of land and water resources and damages inflicted on others by erosion and sediment have been passed by federal, state and local governments. These regulations create a need for greater understanding amongst the construction community of the processes of erosion control and stormwater runoff, as well as the rules and regulations themselves.
